Cale's 55
(Preview)
Figured I'd share here a project we're working on... When he was 10, I helped Cale buy a '55 Chevy 210 2-door sedan basket-case project car. It was originally Neptune Green with turquoise interior, 6cyl 3spd. It's a pretty solid car, but has a few rusty areas. I have a '55 210 2-door sedan also, so my e...

Two Updates! "The 40+ Watt Garage"
(Preview)
Our new house pushed all the right buttons except the attached garage sucks. It's really only good for parking a car & lawn tractor. One of the "deals" Sheryl & I struck was we'd build a detached shop/garage. It'll be big enough to store the boat, my pickup, the Roadster, and Blackie - with enou...

Hook up pcv for L79 look problems
(Preview)
I thought I had checked everything, guess not. Evidently the throttle plate for a 66 holly L79 has one little difference. That being the pcv fitting is for about 3/8” ID hose The oil fill tube pcv is for about 1/2”, so no hose will fit. I wonder if it is possible to put something over the throttle plat...

Note to Briggs & Stratton

As I like to do with any new engine, I'll give it about 1000 miles, then do an oil & filter change. Just peace of mind to get any of the little sparklies that happen when new parts are getting to know eachother. The new Deere lawn tractor has about 10 hours on it now. Recommended oil change interval is 50...

Just started to remove rear housing. Bob is helping with the posi. expecting it to be a long process. I thing Stan is much faster. I think I may have to remove the rear exhaust pipe to get the upper CA‘s out. May just have to cut the muffler exits off then deal with the muffler hangers.
