Two years (or more) ago i purchased a replacement lens for my son Nathans 65 Tempest, only to find it is pretty involved job that includes partially removing the bumper.

Since it is a A-body, perhaps some of you have had to do the same?

Decided to bring it over and get it done for him.

Glad to report it went fairly well, i will spare everyone the details, but it is now looking much better.

That’s a similar process for the 66 chevelle.  I found the most difficult process was dealing with the rear quarter extension panel posts. In the chevelle they were pot metal and the attachment nuts could possibly mess up the threads previously cutting into the post.  Hope you didn’t have any broken posts.

Wow, that's involved. For my era, the lenses are simple screw-in hobbies form the outside, butttt, if you want to replace the housings that hold the bulbs, then the whole darned bumper comes off like yours.
