Where do you find these cars? It’s just not fair to tease us like this..

Just about everything I have bought in the last couple years have been settling estates and cleaning out so they can sell the property.

You've had this for a while, seeing as how you have already assembled it to roller status. Looks like a triple black convert ? Did you get the engine and trans with it. looks like much of the rest is there in the pic.
I made a little side trip on my way back from FL this week too. NOS front fenders and left quarter for my '70...

We picked it up yesterday afternoon and had it rolling by 7:30 last night. Just loosely threw it together enough to be able to move it in about 4hrs.

No original drivetrain. We did get a '70 12-bolt with it, but not the original one.

Going back for a 70 Malibu hardtop in a week or two.

Cortez Silver with black top, black bucket interior.

SS396 L34/M40 350hp 396, TH400, 3.31 open rear.

It was repainted black at some point, but silver was original.

Very loaded car for that era.

Project or re-sale?

Been a LONG time since I read a build sheet. Must have read the wrong box to think it was black. Cortez is a great color on these too !

Wow, threw it together to roller status in 4 hours ? That's moving right along...thumbsup

I'm thinking you just might have a big block/TH400 combo sitting there, if you are going to build it.

I'm going to have to re-sell this one. I'm out of space again, and buried in projects I'll never finish in this lifetime.

I'll get it assembled well enough to be rolled on a transporter with all its pieces attached, and send it on its way to someone who can do it right.

I'll do the same with the '70 Malibu I'm pulling out of there next. The Malibu is a 250hp 350/ Saginaw 4spd/ 10-bolt car. Cranberry Red with black vinyl top, black bucket - no console interior. Odd car with buckets and 4spd but really no other cool options. Manual drums, non power steering, etc. Disassembled and all the paint sanded off it 30+ years ago, but really solid southern car.

There's a few other cars there. 70 Monte - really rusty but complete. Very similar to Stan's - white with blue interior. 350, drum brake, 10-bolt, bench seat.
70 LS6 car that is not for sale. 72 GMC Sprint SP 350 with a 12-bolt in it yet, and a few parts-cars that don't have much left.

I'll probably be bringing home a couple more BBs, several SBs, a bunch of TH400s and as much else as they want to get rid of.

They want to keep enough parts to build the LS6 car, and get rid of everything else so they can get the property sold ASAP.

Cleaning out barns was never this much fun growing up on the farm... we hauled home the Malibu 4spd car, 10 engines, about a dozen transmissions, and a lot more misc parts. Even had the new 1-ton squatted pretty good.
