Darren's window repair
(Preview)
I had Darren here today to repair a water leak in to his trunk. It was what I expected....a rust hole in the channnel. We spent a good deal of time scraping out the old sealer and rust. Once the channel was clean I sprayed the rusty areas with Eastwood Converter. After that was dry, I put HVAC tape on the insi...

Looking for your opinion?
(Preview)
With my car getting so close to being finished, I have been looking at the photo below (background on my PC) a lot and just not sure if I like how the front wheels look in the picture? Seems like to much room, too small of tire? Without redoing the whole rims, etc. any/all feed back would be appreciated....

Tire size for 14 x 7 five-spoke rally wheel
(Preview)
I am going to replace the tires on my '69. I have original date coded wheels. The current tire size is P 205 70R 14. I don't want to go any larger in height, but I would like a little wider tire. Does anyone know what size this would be? I remember back in the day, a G60 would fit these wheels (showing my age here...

I see that MSD has a new digital points replacement kit and it has a simple one wire hook up with no power supply and ground needed. Saw it in the new sumitt cataloge. Wonder if this means you do not have to by-pass the resister wire. Has anyone had any experience with this unit? In the past most pe...

I put the new cable on that I got last year from Corvette Specialties and it's loose on the trans end. The threads seem to bottom out but the cable flops around. Is here supposed to be a rubber washer similar to a garden hose on that end to seal ?

I re-painted and assembled my dash and dash pad awhile ago, and had it sitting on my bench waiting to get put back into the car. I've noticed a few people posting URL links that aren't active and Mitch and others are reposting to make it active. Anybody R/R water pump on 2003 GMC/Chevy Truck w/5.3 litre engine?

So I had my oil changed at my friendly Goodyear shop, and they tell me I need a new water pump because it's starting to weep. I haven't noticed anything on the floor yet, so it must be a small amt. The truck has almost 100K miles. Their estimate is around $600 ($250 for the pump + $250 labor +$100 for anti...

What Buffer should I buy to use for cleaning and polishing the car/
(Preview)
Do any of you guys have a preference as to which power buffer to use. Kind of getting tired of using the old hand method that I learned back in 1958 to clean and polish the car. Do I have to spend around $150 or is there a good one in the $75 to $100 range? Any recommendations? Thanks.
