Ingnition:
Unilite 9000 distributor
Mallory Coil
Hyfire 6 (685)
Mallory Ballast resistor
The box power is hooked directly to battery with 10 gauge wire both + & - to connector at box to through wimpy wire box provides. It is hooked up per fig 15 in instruction.

Sent box to Mallory they say no issue with it box is good and they had no issues.
Car will start run then at a random time box (LEDs) blip off momentarly enough to kill the engine at idle.
It will run fine (great even) with box bypassed does not miss a beat, but since the tach is hooked the box running this way I have no tach nor the features I want off the box such as start retard and rev limitor. I would love this thing to run correctly.
I am out of ideas have to assuse box and box wiring good just checked out by Mallory. My wiring to the box I would think is good since I can run bypass with NO issues. What would cause it to flake out blip momentarily ?
Any ideas what may be going on ?
I am going to try to short the ballast resistor and see if that will do anything

posted this on TC also.
