There are usually 5 plus posts a day by this time and today. This is the only new post. Looks like folks are out enjoying the weather for a change instead of in front of the computer. That sounds good to me.

I've had a lot less 'free' time with my new job.  Now I'm back to being pulled a million directions, but that's a good thing.  The day goes by super fast and I'm much more engaged.  So, less time to check the forum now and then.

I've been busy working on everything but the Chevelle... all the little projects that I put off all winter now are piling up on me.

It's called yard work, finishing kitchen remodel, more yard work and oh ya, it's mothers day weekend. As Derek stated above anything but car stuff.

Hopefully everyone's done with projects and carving out some time for the meeting at Bryan's and the cruise-in to the Anoka show next Saturday!  It would be cool to roll in with 10 or so Chevelle's!!!

slept until 9:30, got up and did nothing until noon
cleaned bottles from last night's fire in back yard
fertilized
washed the car
vacuumed it
painted kick panels (ran out of paint, but they're black) and put them in
drove around the block
put new handlebars and all new cables on the wife's bike for mother's day
just ate 10" worth of ribs

Sounds familiar:

Got up at 7 a.m. because the wife got up at 6:30 a.m. to go into work for some OT

Cleaned out a slow sink drain in her bathroom

Cleaned the bathrooms (part of a Mother's Day treat)

Mowed the yard

Picked up the rental car for a business trip tomorrow (the reason for the M-Day treat)

Bought a new vacuum because the old one crapped out (NOT a M-Day treat)

Went to 2 banks

Vacuumed the house (Another M-Day treat)

Went for a cruise in the Chevelle to Fleet Farm with the wife (M-Day treat for me)

 Swept out the garages

Went to dinner with the family for M-Day since I'll be gone tomorrow

Vacuumed out the inches of salt from my truck 1st time this spring...

Hand washed the truck 1st time this spring...

Now after all that, it's time for a meeting with my friends Jack and Coke!

I changed the sway bar links on the Chevelle
Pulled the riding mower out of storage, dropped the oil
Used the Chevelle to go get a new oil filter
installed new filter, filled with oil
pulled out the power washer and washed the mower.
Took the Chevelle for drive with wife and her confirmation mentee
Pulled out the leaf blower, blew out the garage
Cleaned up branches in the yard.
Took wife's confirmation mentee home with Chevelle.
Took my oldest son for first ride in Chevelle, left a 100-150' long stripe (1 haven't switched in the posi 12 bolt yet)
Put the Chevelle away, finished cleaning the garage
took a nap (never do that, son with friends that stayed over kept waking me up last night until 1:30)
grilled, cleaned office, plan to kick back rest of the evening.

Tomorrow is the final day of my WI turkey hunting season. I had mine by 6:30 AM day one (Wednesday) and have been trying to help my step-dad get his. The birds are a lot scarcer this season for whatever reason. Aren't even seeing them while driving around which is weird...  Having a blast and enjoying the great outdoors even if the turkeys aren't co-operating.  Can't wait to go back to work so I can sleep in until 5:00.  This 3:15 AM stuff is messing up my internal clock.

Up at dawn, shoveled and wheel barrowed two yards of black dirt into planters then spread three yards of black dirt in the lawn where trees came down in a storm last winter, leveled raked and seeded, off to HD for plants and fertilizer.

Back home cleaned up the Mustang; put the last coat of poly on the dinning room baseboard trim, quick run through the rain locker then at 1100 off to a buddy’s surprise birthday party in Eden Prairie.

Back home at 1430 trim the lawn, plant, plants and fertilize. Summarize (my word) the snow blowers pull out the mower. Sharpen the blade change the oil lube the drive system, do a test cut, park the mower.

Kbits with the neighbors then take the Elky for a drive only to realize I really need to adjust that lifter.

Back home count the Wood Duck egg’s 20, 21 and 8 in respective houses, they should hatch in about three weeks.

1900 hours pop a cold one.

Know what you mean Oscar, just spent the last 5 days getting up at 3:30 am go help my bother and a couple of friends get their turkeys.  Got mine a few weeks ago. Success is way down this year in SE MN.  I think the last 2 winters really hurt the birds.  I did sleep to 6:30 this morning.

I got tired just reading what y'all accomplished in one day.

I spent most of my day at St. Paul Automotive. Got home around 3 and started on the yard work too.

Got the wife to help move the GTO back into the shop so I can swap the rear axles. I have the Buick rear out of the Chevelle already, so it won't take long to get the 12 bolt out of the GTO and into the Chevelle...

I should have stayed in bed today...

Doing some minor work on the Caprice wagon before I list it again on Craigslist... it's been sitting for about 6 weeks now, so I decided to take it for a little drive around the block. When I got home, it was puking trans fluid all over the driveway. The cooler line going into the radiator rusted through and sprung a leak. Attempting to free the fitting from the radiator resulted in a broken radiator tank... Luckily, I have a spare radiator, but this is not what I wanted to work on today.

Jim I hope you had better luck helping them than I did with my step-dad.  Ended the season without him getting a bird but he has a tag for the next season too.  He's on his own and will only get to hunt a few days.  Not nearly as many birds as in the past but still had a good time.
