72 Cehevelle with SS hood. NO I do not want to change the Hood. Have Holley 4150. I am looking at the engine and where the carb sits. I have a 1.3" drop base running a 3" K&N with K&N open filter. I think I need to drop it some more. anyone know where to get a greater drop base maybe 2 "will work. I do not know for sure if I have issue but it sure looks like it will. I do NOT want to go back to the foam tri Holley filter.

Part of the issue is Merlin single plane with 1" carb spacer. The spacer is key for brakes, tranny, and vac gauge. Poor planning on my part.
