Just heard back from The Finishing Touch regarding the cost of reconditioning polishing, and painting of the rings of the Mag style 65-66 hubcaps.

They are able to remove the inner ring, make repairs, reinstall the ring, polish, and paint the black part.  On good ones with minor repairs, they just drill a hole to access and repair. On ones with more  repair they remove the inner ring.   Cost not including shipping is $250-$350 per ring.   Then one might have the repair the inner pot metal section for those Jay Leno types.

They didn't give me any hint as to how to remvoe and reinstall the ring.  Guess my only option will to get to get a couple of scrap caps that I can wreck trying to remove and install the inner ring.  Unless Dan beats me to it.

I would never buy anything from Hubcaps.org again. I bought 4 or the standard full cover and I would consider them to be below driver quality at best. There were 4 of this style at the fairgrounds last Sunday that were better than the ones I got from hubcaps.org for $50 for all 4, Looks like hubcaps.com wants $80 each. The CHV954 photo is not correct. I doubt that they even know what the correct 65-66 mag looks like.
