Boats...
(Preview)
Next to a hotrod, a boat is the 2nd biggest money-sucking-black-hole in the universe... The last few times out with the Glastron, I noticed a growling noise coming from the back. It changed pitch with RPM, and with steering input. Nuts... probably the gimbal bearing. On top of that, the rear bench sea...

As some of you know the Engine in Biskwik is for my B/Block Elky 396 360hp/ holly carb. It was always intended to be temporary. Found a 41000 mile 454 motor out of a motor home. Unleaded fuel/peanut port/low compression. Going in this week. Hope it still runs after I cleaned and painted it! Will post...

New shoes for the Malibu
(Preview)
Just when parts were starting to get happy with each other after the reassembly thrash on the vert, I was at a show and found a deal on wheels and tires that I couldn't pass up. Needless to say, the rims were a very good deal, and I found a set, yes a set of tires for less than the cost of one tire in the swap meet...

Silverado random misfire
(Preview)
I am wondering if anyone has an opinion about my 98 Silverado 5.7 engine. On the way home 2 weeks ago pulling a 2700lb camper she started bucking when I would accelerate. While trying to accelerate it would flash the SES light. The code is p0300 so it isn't very helpful. I replaced the 3 year old plugs and t...

Holley Avenger EFI install on my 64

I am tired of having had nothing but bad luck with carbs and fuel pumps for my 64 and decide to go EFI and be done with it. After reviewing the choices, I went with the avenger EFI setup 550-402 (900 cfm 4 barrel TBI). I could have gone to multiple port setup but for my goals, I just don't need that extra that...
