Long story short - the new lower unit has the "later" style pitot tube for the speedometer. The boat has the "early" style connector/coupler coming out of the transom... No worky-worky, need new coupler!

(why it wasn't INCLUDED with the new lower unit...

) This coupler clicks...

So I get home from work and my wife says the pump hose for the pool is leaking. We already had replaced the hose once, but now it's where the hose connects to the pool side. A simple fix, but it took a little time to cut the hose shorter and re-attach it while it spews out a gallon every 4 seconds from both sides...
