September Meeting - "New" 40 Watt Garage - Lift Assembly

First & Foremost I would like to thank everyone who came out and helped assemble the new lift! Many hands (and good backs) made short work of an awkward/heavy/potentially dangerous job!

Second, a big thank you to everyone for pulling together an impromptu "surprise" birthday party for Sheryl. Our resident Club "BakeMaster" Jenny made a fabulous cake, the Hermann's brought ice-cream, Jenna made brownies, I didn't catch who brought cookies, and thanks to anyone I've missed for contributing to a great celebration. What we didn't realize is that there were 4 other members who have September birthdays, so we rolled it into a group celebration/party.

Hi! Sheryl Delke here. I am not a member, but John allowed me to use his sign on to give you all a big thank you for celebrating my birthday with me! Fun to find I celebrate the same birthday month with several other members-Hank, Derek, Terry, and Barb! Glad we could celebrate together. I echo John's thank you for the bakers in the bunch. See the picture of the amazing cake Jenny made! What skill! And to fill in John's thank you-it was Bruce and Cheryl who supplied the cookies.

Thank you for the cards and gifts of wine and chocolate. What else does a girl need? Thank you for making this milestone birthday special. There is not a better group of people to celebrate with! My sincerest appreciation to you.

Sheryl

I did a fine tuning on the lock linkage and cables this morning.

I left Blackie on it down low between locks overnight. The entire load was on the cables only. It only took between 1/2 to 1 turn on the cables to get all 4 corners dialed in.

I'm a happy camper! Thank Y'all Again!

That is a very impressive lift. The quality far surpasses most of the garden variety lifts. Not surprised it worked that well with little tuning.

I’m so sorry that I missed it. Silly work obligations. It sounds like this will be the last annual work trip to Vegas for the foreseeable future. I wish I could’ve been there to help with the lift and to celebrate all of the September birthdays. Looks like it was a great time.

A great time, great people.

Thrilled that everyone took Sheryl's invite to family and opening up her Home.

Always great to see Derek and Jenna's family.

Many of us recall when they were single, dating and no children.

The warmth of their family is impressive.

Celebrating the September Birthdays was a great idea, thanks John and Sheryl for that.

Always fun participating (observing) a bunch of somewhat opinionated and very skilled people in the same room "assembling by committee."

John kept insisting the directions were actually correct the rest of us had to be convinced at times.

All in All, everyone had a great time and came together to achieve a friendly, positive outcome.

Pretty sure we all left uninjured and smiling.

Thanks again Sheryl and John.

Karl
