Wondering if any of you have had issues with "gas fumes" from the rear of the car on a 71 or 72 with the vapor canister removed and found a way to eliminate the issue?
I have bypassed mine. I plugged the corresponding outlets in the tank.
Yep, you need to plug the extra nipples on the tank and then use an ANTI-SURGE gas cap. They are still vented but have a spring loaded valve that closes off when liquid contacts it.

Yes, just use a short piece of hose and a suitable plug and clamp. 1970 Chevelle, 1969 Camaro, even full size GM pre canister era. I usually check NAPA first.
