Somewhat moved and "old" house sold

I had several helpers show up on Sept. 7th to move the majority of our household furnishings to our new place. Our house had been photographed the previous Friday and the MLS listing went live on Tuesday, Sept 20th. A young couple who went thru it on the 21st made a full price, non-contingent offer on Thursday, Sept 23rd that we signed and it went pending in 3 days on the market. Since then, we have been going thru the inspection process. All that is left is final reports on the septic and well systems and I don't see any big issues with those. We have a closing date of October 17th. This WHOLE process has been at lightning speed. We first looked at the home we now live in on July 22nd and closed on August 22nd. In less than 3 months we will have bought a home, moved and sold our old home.

I have, also, been busy getting the new lot surveyed for property lines and staked for my next project. Today I received my permit to put up an additional 30x48 pole building at the back of the lot for storage. The current 25X45 building isn't close to being big enough to hold all my "treasures". I am going with a Wick building, primarily because it is, tentatively, scheduled to be completed at the end of October too. Then I get to move all the "stuff" I am currently hauling to a storage locker back here, weather pending.

A special thanks to all the members who came on the 7th and made the day more productive than I imagined and fun at the same time. We still have some furniture at the old house for the showings a couple weeks back and need to move that this coming weekend and I have barely made a dent in the shop "stuff', but it will get done.

Also, a huge thank you to Karl for letting me commandeer his 14' trailer for all this. I may need to replace the tires by the time this is all over...laughing

Thanks for the update!

Glad things went so well.

Sorry I could not physically assist, as I am still trying to catch-up for all the help you have given me.

Moving and unpacking is one of those events that is so nice to have behind you. Then comes organizing and setting things up.
Good luck!

It will be many months before we know that feeling and we are looking forward to it. Still 16 days to closing and I will need every one get get the shop empty. I added to the stress a couple days ago by signing the paperwork to get the new shop process started. I need to drop 3 trees and get them out of the way, grind 7 stumps from old trees and trim limbs to get the trucks in the back yard during all this too. With the near non-stop rain, the date has already been pushed back 2 weeks. Hope it doesn't go any further.

I have been, slightly, weeding out old stuff from the shop shelves to dispose of and give away. Still finding parts and accessories from the Pete taking up room. Need to find new homes for that stuff, or in the trash it goes. Just getting the million loose parts in boxes to move has provided a means to get far more on the shelves in the storage locker. It will take far less time to move it all to the new building in boxes.
