Aaron was painting his guitar over and over and on the last time didn't clean it.

So now I have the gun sitting in the Ultra Sonic cleaner with Mineral Spirits cycling on and off.

After 3 days still not coming apart, adding in some Lacquer Thinner and Acetone.

If none of this works Aaron will be put up for Adoptionbanghead

tiphatThey do have some chemical paint strippers that are pretty aggressive.

If paint was a non-catalyzed product, you have a chance.

John was right, need very harsh solvent, good luck.

Hug the kid and ask him what he learned. thumbsup

Hopefully the guitar looks good and works well.

Ditto on Karl...

Dropped a tote-box of tools (borrowed from Dads roller-cab) off of the running board of my '51 F1 during my HS years. Whatever possessed me to set the toolbox on the running board instead of in the cab or bed I'll never know.

By the time I realized what happened, and did a REALLY illegal U-turn to get back to where the toolbox was flattened in the intersection, the tools were running down the sidewalk in various street-person's pockets on the way to the pawnshop.

I fessed up to my mistake and suffered the oral wrath, and spent the next 6 months & however many 1000's of burgers/dogs/gyros worth (of what was to be my car money) slowly replacing what I'd lost. I learned my lesson.

Dad always had a very fair but inflexible policy about his "stuff"... You're welcome to borrow/use it, but return it in as good or better condition than you got it... break it or lose it you replace it.

My dad had quite a temper. So when I smashed his beloved Mercedes into a cement mailbox post, I was almost afraid to tell him. He looked at it and said "I hope you learned something from this." I never heard another word about it.
I tried really hard to be the same with my kids (except the bad temper part).
