Looking forward to getting it on the road and putting a few miles on it this fall. The Cruise on Saturday will be a very public shakedown drive of the car. Thanks to Chris and a very thorough repair/update list Shannan and I should be able to drive and enjoy the car while continuing to make updates over the next few years until we get it to the point of completion.

Mike this is so cool that you have it back on the road again!  I think as long as I've known you through the years, you were always a dedicated member coming to meetings and events knowing you had a Chevelle that was back at home and it didn't run.  It had to be tough going back home after club stuff and looking at that Chevelle sitting there, but not being able to drive it.  Now you can!  gearbanger

And it's a testament to what a great guy Chris P. is with the help he gave you, along with many other members in the club including me!  Chris, you are a gentleman and a scholar!  tiphat

Stan that is what makes this club so great. We have many talented, experienced, knowledgable folks willing to help one another out even on non car related projects. Everyone who attended the May meeting assisted with getting my car running, Mitch painted the hood, and Chris has sorted out all sorts of mechanical issues for me. It's not uncommon to see project posts were one or more club members assisted another. The advice or parts availability alone are invaluable even if there is not any hands on assistance. I am grateful to each and every club member even if all they have done is assist me with the motivation to want to get my car back on the road by sharing the experiences with their own.

Stan thanks for the kind words. I am glad Mike trust me to work on his car and get it up and running again. I know he is excited to be able to drive and enjoy it again.

Picked the car up from Chris last night and got an alignment this AM. Went for a short drive down the highway and back. Topped off the gas tank. Won't have a chance to wash it but it looks OK. Ready for the cruise tomorrow.

Thanks Ron.  I can say the same about yours!  I know you've had it to a few events before but I had never seen it.
