Well I picked up that 92 Camaro today, well the owner was going to let me use his trailer then since he had it loaded dropped it off over here. His son was a little upset and told the dad it is worth more then what I gave for it. Son also told dada it has a $3000 stereo system in it and dad should pull it out. Nope it came with the car and I don't know if it is worth $3000 but stock radio is going back in. Hope to get this fixed and ready in time for Car Craft at the latest. Pics to come of this later.

I'll pay $100 for the stereo set-up so I can blast the neighbor kids who always have theirs so loud I can hear it 3 blocks away.

You have fun with that now, Dave. If you need a wheel, I might know someone in the Camaro Club with one.

I assume you're going salvage on the rocker mouldings and front end stuff. Let me know if you need OEM, but it ain't cheap usually. I'll need the VIN.

Pulling the stereo out and dropping the stock unit back in. Have the extra rim that they saved and even found the center cap. Gabe said I could pull the stereo out and sell it at the pawn shop for about $500. Car does start and run good gas is really old so I need to get some fresh stuff in it. Next thing is get the car in the shop and tear the front end damage off and replace parts. Have a line on a parts car that I only need a few things off of but guy stated his mom wants it GONE!

If the rim is bent or the bead is broken, try Keystone. They fix wheels, might even have on on hand. They can fix the lip up to 6" of missing bead edge too.

The kid still owed $2000 on the car, but put a $3000 stereo in it? He sounds smart.

Nice looking car! They handle pretty well too.

To be young again and have no idea on priorities. $350 dollar car with $350-500 stereo. Remeber those days things looks like things have not changed.

Just putting this back to stock, have a line on the ground effects still need to get the bumper and lower valance. Rim has a scuff and light rash just and hopefully it is ok just had a torn sidewall. Selling the stereo will help pay for parts and keep the profit.

Those wheels seem to be getting more difficult to find. How bad is the wheel?

Just a little scuff on it so it will be ok, if it was a #s match rare show car I would have them redone.

Had a guy come over last night and pull the stereo out of it had to pay $100 that I didn't want to. When all was said and done he did get the stock unit back in the crap autostart cut out, the alarm system from hell and the underdash lights removed. All back to stock and he did it in a tick over 2 hrs with all systems functioning. So all stuff may just go to the pawn shop so I don't have to deal with craigslist.

Well I picked up a parts car in Iowa today and stopped by and saw Dan Williams and Kathy. Picked up a 92 RS in "TEAL" not turquois as I had called it a little more striped version that has the elusive ground effects I needed. They previous owners had installed a newer engine that looks clean and loaded with all new sensors everywhere you look. This also has a stereo that is coming out and will be for sale cheap too. It has some aftermarket mags on it that look like Centerlines and do have decent tires on them. Kids are happy they get another car to strip and the wife is getting the Red Camaro as HER OWN CAR so I'm not selling it now. Just need to come up with a way to make some cash for the wagon as this project is eating up all my cash.

Dan has decided that I needed shock therapy so he wired me up in his little bus for a shock.

Well the 2 boys have nearly the entire interior stripped out of the car without breaking anything except my paitence. Dan Williams was almost correct in that they could strip it down in a day.
Now I'm so tempted to throw that bad boy up on cement blocks it doesn't get anymore Redneck then that.
