Door hinge clean and repair

I have a door hinge of Jim's here to repair and keep hearing about this Evaporust solution that removes rust like a miracle. I have a bunch of small parts for the Camaro that I would like to de-rust, so bought a 5 gallon pail to try on Jim's hinge. It really isn't very rusty to begin with, but it is said to remove paint if left to soak long enough too. One guy on the Super car forum has used it for years and said to heat it and keep it circulating. I bought a small aquarium heater and have that in the pail and it keeps the solution very nicely warm. I ordered a small pond pump and it came in the mail today. I'll put that in tomorrow and get the stuff moving around. The hinge is already quite clean of any surface rust it had, so may remove it and start the repair.
