Time to update some of my interior on the 69. Carpeting and insulation are first.
I was looking at Ground Up and they offer a "Flat Line" insulation. The name is new to me, anyone use this product?
They offer two carpet selections, with and without a "Mass" backing. They say the backing replaces the normal insulation/sound deadener. Sounds too good to be true, any experiences with that product?
Any other suggestions are appreciated of good/bad products on the market today for carpet and insulation. The big block really throws off the heat, I need to control that most of all.
First of all, it is made by ACC, which is regarded as the best carpet to get.
Second, the mass insulation will replace the jute, that is on the original and lower priced replacement carpet. I would still recommend a heat barrier be used under this, to reduce the heat transfer before it even gets to the insulation.
I also suggest calling Denny at Auto City Classics. I know he sells the ACC, Auto Custom Carpet, brand and would save you the shipping, which GU's website states as oversize. Get a shipping quote before you order, you may be surprised.
I did not find any reference to the "flat line" product you mentioned. Can you post a link ?
