Shift Linkage for 66 column to 2004R OD Trans

Has anyone done this or helped someone?  The only think I've found so far is a universal kit from Shiftworks.  It just a rod that you bend with a bracket for the trans and a bend to hook up to the column. I didn't find anything on the Loker site.  classic-performance-products-universal-column-kit

Jim, have you mocked it up yet?
When I did my 65 Special swap from a Super Turbine 300 trany (very similar to a powerglide) to the 4L60 everything lined right up for the column shifter. I bought the kit from Shiftworks and never used it.

Good to know, there has been some modification of the original PS shifter linkage to fit the TH350.  The original linkage has a support/bracket mounted to the frame. Not just a rod between the column and the trans.  I will have to look in the AIM to see what has been changed.  If I determine I have to go with the shiftworks universal kit, I will contact your to see if you might still have You’s for sale.

The original pg rod would have worked, but the frame support linkage should work too. It rotates the lever, rather than pulling it, like the pg rod did. Either way, the 200 in my '38 works with the standard column shift rod from a '78 Malibu column.

I think the original PG rod has been reworked and some welding to fit the TH 350,  Maybe that will just fit?

Lokar has this rod and shiftworks a similar set up where you install and bend or cut rod to length.Lokar-ACA-1800-Billet-Adjustable-Column-Arm-Kit-GM-Transmissions,64497.html   Found another option fro m Kugel components looks like the same set up.

Thinking I understand better  how the original linkage worked now Mitch.  It would  rotates the shifter rather then pulling the shifter to accomplish the same thing like the aftermarket rods.

Thinking I am going to try to use the original Power-glide shift linkage, if it doesn’t work the best I will explore the shift-works or Lockar kit.  Unless someone know of or has heard of a new options.
