Anyone boxed Lower Front CA?

Does anyone have experience with this?  I replace my front lower CA on the red chevelle because it had cracked and been welded. I know I read somewhere that guys boxed there lower front CA to prevent such a crack and for safety.  I am boxing my rear CR and putting in new bushings as there is a sway bar in The rear of the convertible with spacers rather than boxed CA’s.

I am  thinking it would be a good project when pulling the engine this winter to box those and replace the bushing When cleaning up the engine bay.

I found some information here.

Looks like a cost effective preventive measure. Especially after the steering column mistake a PO made on installing the tilt column in my convert .  And also after  a friend just had his steering column shaft separate and fall out. Good thing it happened in the parking lot of a car show.
