After the QA1 cruise, I put the car up on the lift to look for the source of the PS leak, and discovered the front tires were corded on the inside edge. 

Investigating why the alignment changed, I found a structural failure beginning on both lower A-arms. After a few calls to SC&C and SPC they sent me a new pair of arms, which are a much stronger design than those early versions I was running. 

I also bought a cheap extra set of wheels to use for longer road trips to save wear on the expensive race tires.

Good thing you had a ps leak...whew

Nice that they sent you new arms...any compensation for the spendy tire wear ?

Tires were about done anyway. I was planning to replace them before Goodguys anyway.

Kevin/Dashboard used to ask me to come over and QA check his stuff with him after putting miles on new parts, and I still hear his voice in my head.

Not to derail the post, but since you mentioned Goodguys, is that still on for Des Moines on the 4th of July?  I'm guessing so since Iowa has been much more open during the Covid shutdowns.

 Nothing has been announced yet, but I won't be surprised if it gets cancelled.

Do the new arms supercede the old style then or would we have to inquire about the new design when placing an order?

New design has replaced the old. Mine were very early production, first-run made in their prototype department rather than the production line.

They were about 10-12 years old, and improvements in tires in that time has really changed the load requirements. I really surprised they replaced them, but I've had a good relationship with SC&C for a long time.

 Ive been impressed by the reviews of other customers & the positive customer service they have provided all these years. A very stand up company which their products still stand up against all the popular suspension brands out there now.
