Well with this forced time off, I have a son chomping at the bit to do something. So replacing the 4ft bulbs with new LEDs is now the project for the week.

Also before jumping on the next project cleanup and clean out stuff. Going to do what they call a little 5S work Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain.

Main reason to do this is my son is driving me nuts by never putting things away. Tired of all the tools in the top drawer of the tool box in one pile.

Front half of the shop is already relamped with new LEDs now and really BRITE! If any of you know what 5S is you know it is an uphill battle for me.

I've been reorganizing too. Moved the Chevelle into the attached garage, and have been parking the truck outside to make room for moving things around in the shop. I already cleared enough space to get the Opel GT inside, and will soon have enough room for everything that runs to have a direct line out the door rather than having to move 3 things to get one out.

I'm also pitching a lot in the trash, and figuring out what I can sell... time to simplify and focus on quality over quantity.

I only know about the 3S's. Organization is not in my skill set. I am pretty good about putting tools away, because I HATE looking for them. After the move last fall...everything is a mystery search.

I think I have heard of this organization stuff, but I am not at all familiar with it. But I , too, put tools away regularly.

Aaron is chomping at the bit to do work but we need to clean up first. He spent so much time on the top drawer then, I clean up and find the missing socket he was looking for.
When the shop is clean we have the room to move and work, plus know where tools are. Some of the things I have held onto are just getting pitched in the trash since after all
these years never needed them. Now next week or so I will or one of you will need one of the things I threw out. But that is how my luck usually goes, like the R2D2 Cooler. A
week after I got rid of it one was sold for $500. I didn't thank my wife for telling me to get rid of that when she saw that.

Ive always put tools away before im finished with it, right in the middle of a job it seems. I make special trips to the tool box going back to get a tool I just had out because for some reason, I had in mind that I was done with it and didnt want to missplace the wrench. Example, there has been a time or two where I crawled/rolled under a vehicle to change oil & removed plug to drain, rolled out with wrench in hand & placed on tool box or put away while oil is draining, then rolled back under w/o said wrench & had to go back and get it again. Ive learned to leave tools out until im finished with the job as im the only one in there working.
