It usually has been the third Saturday in January, which would be the 18th?

Does that work for the Club??

thumbsup18th it is, will post more details as we proceed.
Will probably do Olive Garden again, winter "comfort" food.tiphat

As stated elsewhere, hope to assemble drivetrain of white 66 Elky for project.

Normal time, eat 12:45 or 1:00 ish.

If you have something to Swap/Sell that is fine too.

If some arrive a little early to help set up tables it always helps.

Thanks to all!

Karl

I won't be able to attend due to daughter's gymnastics tournament (6 of next 8 weekends!), but really wish I could see the white Elky. Loved the blue one.

I was in contact last week with the Camaro Club VP, Walter, and have forwarded the info to him.

We welcome all, always order enough food for 90-100 people.
We usually have 70-80.
You are ALWAYS welcome.

Bringing your "little" Man Michael?

Still planning on making it unless snowmegeddan turns the 1 hour drive north of the metro into something much worse.

I’ll be playing it by ear before I make a decisio. My concern isn’t just making it there, it’s the fun of the drive back home if the snow continues during the day on Sat.

Hopefully most can use Derek's plan.

Most major roads should be clear.

Very reluctant to try and reschedule.

All the stations seemed to have cried wolf, again. The snow will be over by 7 am and not near the amount they had been predicting NOT that I am complaining...laughing

I couldn't find the brake line flaring tool and remembered it had gone to the storage locker. I made a "quick" trip of 53.6 miles after work to retrieve it and got back just as the snow was starting around 3.

I'll be there with the tools to shorten and flare that brake line...thumbsup

Thanks Mitch,

I realize weather is an issue for many.

My window to host this is pretty inflexible.

While I would love to have our normal 70-80 people everyone MUST make their own decision depending on their distance and equipment.

Unfortunately the weather people seem to be wrong on the severity of winter snow events, regularly.

We truly will not know for sure till late tomorrow.

Food is ordered, car and parts are at Shop, must proceed.

Look forward to tomorrow, the "project" car is coming along nicely, windshield and back glass in today.

Have a LOT of pieces that need to come together tomorrow to continue progress on car.

Hopefully drivetrain will be assembled and installed from water pump to driveshaft tomorrow.

Mitch's help on stainless brake line will be a major win also.

Picking up Olive Garden at 12:00 tomorrow, bought a bunch of pop today, will get ice in a/m.

Help in moving, setting up tables and chairs tomorrow after shop closes at 12:00 would be appreciated.

We do have a few more chairs however, don't be afraid to guarantee your seating by bringing your own.

Thanks to all,
Karl

The most open parking area is on East (Freeway) side of building parking lot.
Service door is unlocked, you can weave your way to gathering area.

Building is packed full.dunnoheadscratchdoh

Lot is plowed but has some ice underneath.

Roads around here are icy but clear.

Good to see the pictures of the Brunch and that so many were able to brave the weather.
This was the first on we have missed since joining the club. Plan to be there next year (it is always the closest one for us).

Sorry I missed it. I had a simple knee replacement until Mr. Murphy took over. It has bee two and a half weeks, and I am still in terrible pain and can barely flex my knee. They told me that happens in a very small percentage of cases, and that I will catch up eventually. I am glad all this happened with a knee operation and not my heart.
I am still thinking about the deserts I missed.

Meanwhile, I hired a friend to do some of the hard physical stuff on my 79 Malibu. He will remove all front suspension, clean and rebuild it all, and install my S10 spindles. He will also rebuild my rear suspension and install my Buick Grand National differential with 8 1/2 " gears and 3:70 posi.

I certainly better be able to get to game night.

Yes, this was last year and, unfortunately, NO, no Brunch this year due to the current pandemic situation....angry

It gives us another whole year to plan something really BIG for 2022.   thumbsup

Sorry to ALL!!

Too risky at this time.banghead
Many of our Members, (including me) fall in to the high risk category.

We ARE open, with social distancing and mask requirements.

We do have a fairly large, well ventilated space.

Hope to do something later this year.

I have no interest in being the "Mask Nazi"
Things will improve and we will celebrate with vigor.beers
