After forty years our El Camino has moved on to a new owner.  Surprisingly it wasn't painful, as Stan has taught us over the years, sometimes we just need to move on. The Buick has moved on also, so we're looking for a 'new to us' hobby car, not sure what it is yet, but when I see it I'll know.

Now I'm working on what to do with 40 years of Chevelle stash that I've rat-holed.

Both beautiful cars!

There are a lot of fun ones out there!

Looking to build or drive?
Hopefully health is good so both are options.
Don't be a stranger.

Looking for more driving and less tinkering. I have a 65 Buick GS on a rotisserie I can work on when the urge strikes and it does once and a while.
John, I did look into the project car plan, I like them and am very envious of your accomplishment with yours.
Things change, my wants in a hobby car have changed, the new priorities are. Comfort, room for two suite cases, a cup holder, performance, style.
I’ve looked at a couple different cars, definitely LS or equivalent drivetrain is a must. Not sure what it’s going to be yet, but when I see it I’ll know.

The current "muscle" stuff from GM, Ford and Chrysler, fit the bill very well.

The 2010 up Camaros, are an amazing vehicle and they have all the comforts.
Also the Trailblazer SS sport utes, are fun, fast and can easily haul 2-plus stuff.
Great A/C, XM radio, comfortable seating, low maintenance, not too expensive.

Even if my Biscayne had a usable rear gear, (next project) it is a fair weather, don't get it wet, non a/c car.
Makes it 2k miles a year max car.
My 2010 Camaro 3-5k a year, Trailblazer the same.
Along with a ratty old 96 Corvette LT-4 they are my summer toys.

Have the good fortune of a 3 car garage at home and a wife that no longer drives.
Cost of all three was less than 50k used and depreciation is fairly low.

There are some good deals out there on not too used toys out there.

Orrrrr, you would look really good in a mid engine corvette. beers

Like Stan we're back in the driver's seat. It has comfort, room for two overnight bags, three cup holders, reasonable performance, the top goes down and I like the curves and style. Very clean original time capsule, LS1 auto.
