Happy New Year 2018!

Happy New Year to everyone in the club and their families!

We had a rough start already, so hopefully the year gets better.  Tina got the stomach flu (let's just say she didn't know whether to sit or pray to the porcelain alter god) late afternoon yesterday and was up all night with it, including me taking care of her.  Then ALL of the smoke detectors went off at the same time about 3:30 A.M., with no smell of smoke at all.  So, I had to go around the house and disconnected them from power and remove the batteries one by one.  I've got to trouble shoot them, but a couple are pretty old and I'm guessing it triggered all of them on the circuit.

Needless to say sleeping on the couch and hearing clocks ticking, the humidifier gurgling now and then, and cats eating their 'crunchy' food made for a long/short night.  O.k., enough complaining and at least the sun is shining on this bitter cold New Years Day, and it can always be worse!  clonk

Happy New Year.
All is good here. I spent 4 hours on Saturday and then again Sunday at the painters, working to get panels aligned for final fit and bodywork on the Chevelle.

Last night, we prepared our annual lobster dinner and then watched an old Harry Potter movie with the fireplace for ambiance. We are quite the wild couple on New Years Eve...laughing

Chris P was going to bring his Chevelle down this weekend, but with his condition, I ran up and got that today. My shop helper John is planning on coming over tomorrow and we needed something to work on...thumbsup

I started a thread in the project forum for Chris's car.

I actually worked an 8 hour shift, 4-midnight on new years eve and was wrapping up my shift in the service van still when the calendar changed over.

Lousy weekend... Jenna was sick, and I had frozen & burst water pipes in the garage bathroom.

Dang, sorry to hear that Derek. I actually thought of that this weekend, as you've had issues with that in the past.

Chris, I hope you got double time for working those hours on a holiday...tiphat

Yup. Double time plus the traditional holiday pay so technically. I got paid triple time.cool

Derek. Aside from the convenience of it, do you use that restroom enough to justify having the water on during the winter? Why not just shot off the water and use the restroom in the house? At least until you can get those pipes insulated.
