HASTINGS August 12th...

I hope the 12th is as beautiful a night as last Saturday was. Weather was perfect and a great crowd of cars.

I spoke with folks from the show and we are still on for club of the night. We have all of the parking in the old bank building lot but whoever wants to park has to be there by 5:30 or they release any unused spots. I will talk to them again before the event and get an exact time we need to have someone manning the west gate but I think it is by 4:30 or so.

If you are planning on attending please post here so we have a head count.

I'll come if the weather is good. The Chevelle is missing a few key pieces to be street legal at this time, so I'll have another, vintage, Chevrolet product to drive.

The front clip, and a few other loose pieces, went to Blast Masters last week...

Jon, have you contacted them to find out a for sure time? I am trying to decide on having or meeting or not. Thinking it might be a little difficult to have everyone together at one time.

And to confirm we will actually get the whole parking lot. The Camaro Club was the club of the night last time and only got about half of the lot due to the political games the guys play that run the show...they let other "special" people in there.

We have to have people on the gate at 4:50, gates open at 5:00. We can start parking in the bank building at 3:00. Any spots not used by 5:30 are open to the public. If we can have a couple people there by 4:30 that would be good. I will be there by 4:30 for sure. If we have any issues with the lot I was told we would have first shot at the spots in front of the bank in the middle of the street once that opens. Politics always interfere but I do not foresee an issue, I hope.

How late do we do the the gates? 5:00 to X:00?

Answer was 9:00, around 8:30 is when it got exciting for me and Chris with the wild man in the mid 80's Buick.

Turned out okayrolleyes

Bruce was it a green Buick? He was a problem earlier in the day and also when we manned the gates a couple years back.
