I have been trying to find a contact number for them with no luck. Anyone know if they still do this locally ?

Mitch,

For what it is worth, here is the number for the one in Brainerd, 218-829-6324.  Maybe they can give you a local number or let you know if they will re-plate your bumper.

I had my bumpers done there.  They did a great job.

When I talked to them, they actually said that did not want to do any piece parts, we want your bumpers.

If you find that only the Brainerd Keystone will re-plate your bumper, I go up there on a weekly basis.  I can drop them off and pick them up for you, if you would like.

Hope this helps.

Good luck Mitch, they did a great job on mine. Mention the club, they gave me a 10% discount when I did.

Hoping to make it to the brunch.

My works Christmas party is Friday night at Breezy Point.  Will be spending the night and driving back in the morning.

Not sure what time we will be back in the Cities.

We took stuff to the Marshal ave store all the time. They send it to Brainerd. I had the bumpers for my Chevelle done several years ago. When I finally unwrapped them last year, one had a small dent. I took it in and asked them if they could fix it. They did it in a week, and didn't charge me, even after so many years. Years ago, we did quite a few for members of this club.

For small parts, you could try Polish to Chrome in St. Paul. A friend had all the small parts on his 70's Riviera done, and they were beautiful.

Mitch

If that's for the pair, it's the going price. Chrome platings not cheep.

A buddy here in Ohio just dropped his GS front bumper off in Indiana. I'll ask him what the cost there is.

Repos though not original quality are much more affordable plus everyone has them for 66s.  Tamraz's, $340.00 for a front and rear combo.

You could save the originals or stick them on the wall, like I did for later.

Those are Golden Star brand. I'm looking at AMD. They are $386 for the pair from Summit with good reviews for fit and quality.

I bought Golden Star from Auto City Classics for the vert restoration, and they fit and looked fine.  AMD's might be a little better based on their stamped metal feedback, but not sure on bumpers.

OK, that helps Stan, thanks. Reviews are always so mixed and I believe biased to the negative. Not as many people write a compliment... dunno

I've also been a little negligent in my funding by buying NOS trim pieces for the car. THAT gets spendy in a big hurry, hence my reluctance to spend ~1k on just 2 bumpers.

Maybe its time to see who is looking at getting a set of bumpers done and check into a group discount at Keystone. Im willing to throw in a set of 69 bumpers if the interest is enough to get a better discount. Perhaps ask around to attendees at Karls this weekend?

If you can find a friend who has some type of automotive shop they get a bigger discount. I had mine done last year and got 20% off as my friend passed his discount on to me. I talked to Denny at auto City Classics before I did it and asked about the two different qualities they sell. He said go with Keystone as the quality is higher than anything he sells. I did and will never look back as the quality is exceptional and has a lifetime warranty. (phone poles not included).
