Need Info Quick on Under Dash Dealer installed AC from the 60's

Thinking of going with an old style under dash AC.  I have a line on one; but need an ideal of a fair price.  Complete with remanufactured compressor from 2002, 68 Camaro 002.JPGSB brackets,  condenser for a 68 camaro, under dash unit and all fitting, muffler, etc.  Only the hoses were cut o n removal.  Supposedly working.  Looks very nice.  I know the compressor brackets will not work with my BBC and I will need SP and Crank pulleys.  Not sure about the condenser as this is an gm accessory unit.  The factory 66 condenser and 68 Camaro condenser are a little different.  Anyone know if this condenser will work for me.

Thanks, jim

So the only piece that will work for you is the under dash unit itself and the compressor, the rest is all resell. Assuming you are going to have to make new lines you can use the chevelle condenser instead of the Camaro one. Does the system use a POA valve? If it does it is possible it could be stuck from sitting. But I have no idea on what something like that is worth.

And unless you have the POA, or other internal valve, rebuilt/recalibrated for r134, you will need to use r12.
