Looks like the third Saturday is the 16th Does this work??

Mitch and I are thinking another cars apart, apart, apart Club project.

I still have the remainder of the 68 Impale Custom, he has the 66 to strip the frame.

Our group can do serious damage to both.

Might try Olive Garden for food. any problems with that??

Need the leadership to confirm that date.

I would prefer that weekend as we have tickets to 1964 "the Tribute" on the 23rd.

Yes the Bow Tie Brunch will be on January 16th. I hadn't asked our Webmaster to post yet, thought I'd wait till after the Christmas Party.  Sounds like we have a couple projects to work on that day. Hope you can make it.

Just a reminder to bring a chair on Saturday, seating is at a premium in the shop!

Swappers are welcome to come early to set up.

Karl mentioned a tech session on bare metal prep. We shall see what time allows.

Thanks to all who came. I think we had about 70 people.
Mitch got his frame stripped.
John E. (Enganeer) and Kurt got my Impala (Harriet) gutted. THANKS!
Did a short paint prep demo late.
Sorry, never got to the Polishing demo.
Seems popularity of Swap Meet s fading, maybe we are all a bunch of Hoarders!

All in all love seeing everyone!
As usual we have one xtra chair left behind, no idea whose it is.

The mystery of the chair is resolved.

We did a "cars apart club, club" last June I think.

N/star Chevelles sponsored it, I just provided the car and the place.

You and Kurt finished off the car Saturday.

My painter and Shop Manager think we should do a "Cruise In" where Members can also show off their cars.
Maybe combine gathering, hack on a car, show and shine, and goof off!

I too love taking stuff apart, it is the reassembly that bogs me down.

Too fussy, I guess.

 Now that sounds like fun. I like the car show part but in my case, there's no shine...laughing

I could bring my plasma cutter again, but this time I'm using one of those retracting dog leashes to keep the jacket with it...clonk

If it was priced more conservatively I would already own it.

Didn't think it sold first time. It is my color.

We had a 68 when we dated and first got married, Cheryl said a few months ago that maybe it would be fun to get one....
to bad it's not white (and about 45K less)

Vickie and I dated and got married in a 68 Biscayne, 427/385hp Grecian green 2dr post. Carpet, tachometer dash, rally wheels, tint glass 4speed, open 3:73 rear. Had to add power steering. Vin ended in 385, still have a cab card somewhere.
This car becomes a borderline clone when they piece it back together, because the original engine is long gone. Still probably a pretty nice car, just way out of my price range for a garage queen with the wrong motor.


 Stillllll pretty neat!

When my first wife turned 18, her dad bought her a police auction '68 Biscayne 4 door. 307, powerglide cop car...rolleyes   It was traditional black with the front doors white and still had the spotlight on it. Man, that was fun to pull up in front of a buddies house about 10:30 pm and start shining the light around the yard. About gave the parents a heart attack, wondering what had happened to their child.

OK, maybe now that we're older and more mature, it doesn't seem as funny, but it was frikken hilarious then...laughing

Unfortunately, no.
Small block, powerglide, no air.
Engine & tranny gone.
Constables' car, probably spent its' life behind Billboards.
I do have a fairly complete 396 400 turbo, 12 bolt driveline in a Biscayne wagon.
