Well, I see Stan not only ran out of Chevelle's in the metro but jobs too..laughing..one reason I extend my collection to other models. I'd love to move south too, but my wife is rooted here, most likely, indefinitely.

I have been casually watching for a '62 Impala hard top for a few years and fell into one that I think is a decent specimen at a price I could afford.

For anyone interested, the Corvair Corsa convert is now available for a new owner...nana

I'll be digging this one out of a garage next week and bringing it home.

Cool project Mitch.  Looks o.k. in the pics other than rear passenger lower quarter wheel well?  Any rust on the frame?

If that's the original bucket seat option on the car, pretty cool!

Thanks Stan, it is a real SS, so the bucket seats were standard. There is some confusion on original interior color. One code indicates, Aqua and another indicates the Black...headscratch The paint is original and is Aqua.

There are some rust issues in the lower fenders and rear quarters but nothing very bad. He had the body off 10 years ago and claims he had the frame sand blasted and then painted it black, so I can't see any rust issues, but they could be hiding under the paint. It has sat in a garage since then and never driven again, so it is still quite clean, other than much dust accumulation.

The trunk floor, drops and lower quarters are very clean and that is unusual for this model car. There are rust holes in the floor pans, that I'm far more comfortable replacing than quarter panels.
