i guess he wanted something milder. It's a bit hairy for a daily driver, unless you're into it.

But, no heater, A/C, radio or luxuries can be tough to justify nowadays.

Wow... that was quick.  And people give me a hard time about hanging on to cars...  laughing

Car Flipper, or just a little to "raw" for his tastes....?

Yup- too raw I think. I could deal with it as a daily in the summer, but I built it. I think it's a bit too primitive for him.

Possibly a classic example of what people THINK they want for power until they deal with the realities of the unfriendly manners of a race engine.

My friend John, with the Yellow '72, keeps saying he wants a 500 hp small block. I keep telling him he may not like the street manners, but it's his money...dunno

I think if all the climate controls worked and it had a nice stereo or whatever, he might be a lot more willing to keep it. But it has none of those things (let alone a cup holder or power windows or whatever) so it's more than just the engine. I mean, I could drive it in a very civil manner if I wanted to. It wasn't unruly that way. But after driving anything made in the '90s or newer, it's seriously lacking in creature comforts.
