Need a favor from a MSRA member . . .

In the past, the MSRA had a link to a page with the non-oxygenated gas stations in Minnesota. I have been using a list that I downloaded several years ago. To get a current list, I tried to find a link today but was unable to do so.

I think they publish that list from time to time in the LineChaser. I was wondering if a MSRA member would be willing to scan that page as a PDF file and email it to me. Of course, if it IS available somewhere on their site, you could direct me to that page instead.

Of course, I could join the MSRA and get that and much more as a benefit from membership, but one of the biggest benefits (in my opinion) is to drive into the BTT50s and our car is too new by 2 years.

Thanks in advance,

Ron

Not sure how old this map is, but I found this by google. http://batchgeo.com/map/116085429f7a1c4f7b8bd29fafde7c90 or this list of 414 stations http://pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=MN. I try not to buy any more gas in Minnesota for the old cars than I absolutely have to. I should print a map, but usualy I can make it to the border here and don't want to spend that much time looking around for non ethanol.

I have the list in all my Linechasers but have no way to scan and send. I can cut the pages out and mail them to you...dunno

Thank you to Dan, Mitch, Chris and Jon for your responses. The reason I like the MSRA list is that I can shrink it and get 4 pages condensed to 1 page that I could keep in the car.

Jon, we got our first smart phone about a week ago. We probably wouldn't have done it then except we will soon be moving from the south metro to the north metro and will not have internet service for a while. We'll be in a semi-rural area that is unfamiliar to us and thought a smart phone would be a good way to find grocery stores, hardware stores, etc. Since I'm just learning to use the phone and not too familiar with many of its features, could you let me know its name? Thanks . . .

Mitch, we're getting a lot of stuff packed up and my envelopes are MIA. I'll find them after the move and send a SASE for a hard copy. I'd suggest picking them up at a meeting but we were busy packing on the day of the recent meeting and will be moving on May 16 -- the day before the next meeting. So it will be at least June before I get to another NCC meet up.

The next meeting is next Saturday, April 26th, at Chris P's house. I plan to be there if you stop by.

How far north are you going that it's "rural" and has no internet????

Look in your app store on your phone and type in ethanol free and it should pop up for installation. It is a free app.

Where are you moving to???

Mitch, I got the date wrong on the April meeting since I knew I wouldn't be going anyway. We are so busy trying to get 30 years of accumulated "stuff" into boxes. It's a BIG job. We're moving to Oak Grove. We'll be in a development with a few other homes but it's pretty rural around us. Comcast is the only company that provides wired phone, internet and cable service in our new neighborhood. When they can get the wire run to the house and into the mechanical room, we will have access to the internet. Until then we'll use our new phone.

Jon, Thanks for the info on the app. This is all pretty new to me. Even though I've downloaded the PDF owner's manual, I did also order a paper version. I'm kind of old fashioned and prefer that to sitting in front of a computer trying to read directions. I'm the same way with the newspaper and magazines. I have access to the online version of the StarTribune but never look at it. I prefer to have the paper copy that I can walk around with and read anytime and anyplace. It's the same thing with magazines. I subscribe to a bunch of automotive magazines but prefer the paper version. We don't have a tablet, but even if we did, I think I would like to have paper rather than pixels.

Oak Grove, that's just a suburb of Blaine now, isn't  it....dunno

I hear ya on trying to move "stuff". I threaten to move way south every winter, but the truth is I would need one moving van and a 9 car transport just for what's in my shop....doh

Gotta thin the herd and sell off extra parts before I move.

Ron,

Eagan is losing another pair of fine citizens with Kevin and Angie moving to Ohio, and now you and Lorraine leaving!  Let us know if you need ANY help with the move, as that's what this club is about, helping each other.  It doesn't have to be for anything car or Chevelle related!  Besides, I'm guessing someone in the club would be more than happy to 'transport' your '66 to the new digs!

Otherwise, I'm sure going through all the stuff is tough after that many years.  I helped my parents 'downsize', and even with that it was still a lot of things.

I'm sure this next step in your life journey will be tough, but hopefully it's what you both want.

Stan

Ron, make sure you let this group know of anything you don't want to move. Might even wrangle a body or 2 into helping......

Jon -- I've got the "pure gas" app installed. It turns out that there's a non-oxy station only a mile or two from where we will be living. That will be convenient for the Chevelle, lawn mower and snow blower. Of course, the app will be handy when on the road and looking for a gas stop. With a thirsty engine and a relatively small fuel cell, it doesn't take long for the gas gauge to go from "F" to "E." (I'll still have a paper copy with me. I shouldn't admit this, but I'm so "old school" that I do my income taxes on paper with the written directions before I do it with online software. It's always been faster to do it online -- plus it's generated a larger refund on two occasions when I missed something while doing it on paper.)

Mitch -- You mention the flight path. We lived just off Cedar Ave. The new runway has landings come directly over our house but I'll have to say it never bothered us. They are high enough and the engines are throttled back so it's not an issue. Takeoffs typically turn left or right so we don't see/hear them at all. Those that do fly "runway heading" are high enough when they are overhead so that's not too bothersome either.

Stan -- While the packing is a chore, we are excited about the move so that lessens the "discomfort." Prior to getting married, I had lived in a few different apartments before buying the house in Bloomington. After we got married, we were there for only 4 years, so we didn't have time to accumulate too much stuff. As I mentioned, we've lived here for 30 years and now we have TONS of stuff. Unfortunately, there's not time to do too much serious sorting so much of it will go with us and get dealt with later. We'll take a couple of UHaul trailer loads a few days before the move and then let Action/Atlas Van Lines deal with the rest.

Stan and Bryan -- I am certainly willing ask for any help I need in diagnosing Chevelle issues but there really isn't much that anyone else can do to help with this move.

Actually it's Bill's Superette on Viking Blvd. I don't know about Bill's yet but I prefer stations where there's a separate hose for non-oxy. It doesn't make much difference with a car but when we had motorcycles (where a fill-up might only be a few gallons) or when filling the gas can for the lawn mower/snow blower, I didn't want the initial amount out of the hose to be the left-over from someone's regular gas on the previous use of the pump.
