So Tina and I were out yesterday running errands, and on a 2 lane highway south of the metro we met an oncoming Harley!  We both did a double take and looked behind us after we passed each other, and couldn't believe it since the air temp was 25 degrees.  That's one dedicated rider!  The wind chill had to be 30 below zero.  hyper

The funny thing is neither of us noticed him coming at us, but the sound of the V-Twin going by was what caught our attention.

That was the first sign of Spring for us, then last night we heard a drip... drip.... drip... over by the sliding glass door, and sure enough there's an ice dam above that area on the roof, so somewhow water has worked it's way up inside the roof, and out through the corner of the frame of the sliding glass door.  I pulled all the snow off the roof for about 3' in on Friday, but it still worked it's way in.  Arrrrgh!

I had to make a run to Bloomington yesterday. There were some major puddles along Old Shakopee Road. Large and deep.

I saw a crotch rocket and 2 Nissan 350Zs all rolling together yesterday afternoon.

regardless of the snow and ice, there's so much sand and pothole shrapnel out there, I'd be afraid to be on a bike.

That should be fun! Add to the collection or trade out one of the others?

Traded in 2010. I had it almost 4 years which for me is a record!! Will miss it. But onto more HP!! All the parts are coming I this week! Weekend is going to be spent installing. On Saturday I swapped out the springs and lowered it. Wow what a real pain. The Chevelle is easier to swap out....Got window tint done yesterday. The rest will be done later this week. Will post pics later this week.

I'm in SoCal for a week. Great weather and a slew of cool cars and old friends out here. It'll be tough to leave.

It'll be better when you get back. It's 61 and sunny today. Snow is melting like crazy. I finished rebuilding the carbs for my Corsa and put them on. Got it running now. Then I dug the street rod out of the back of cold storage. Gotta get to work swapping the radiator and trans cooler. Had all the toys out today...both Corvairs, the '38, had to move the '52 2 ton too. MAN, I am SOOOOOOOOO ready for a summer....nana

Friday night I washed the road grime off my sons Ninja and then dug out the Harley and washed it too. Put the battery back after 18 months on the shelf and started it up !!!!!

I am psyched......I would've drove the Harley today but my 300 ft gravel driveway is a mud bog....doh

And... it's supposed to be 71 and sunny Wed.!  nana

I'm sure SoCal is nicer, especially with catching up with old friends.  I had dinner last Friday night with the guy that hired me and was the reason we relocated to Minnesota in Y2K.  I hadn't seen him in person in 14 years, and man it was a blast.  Good friends are hard to beat.
