From the text it's a one-wire hookup. The negative is tied to the chassis/mounting bracket. You'd only have to T-tap into the feed wire for your backup lights.

That's a good alarm. I've had them on my Pete for construction use. Even after getting packed with dust and mud, I could spray it with a strong stream of water to clean it out and it still worked.

It's actually self grounding with the mounting bolt too. No extra wire for ground.

Other than digging out and connecting a wire to the backup lights, this is a 10 minute install.

Thanks guys. I was looking for the kind of alarm that sounds to tell you something is in the way when you are backing-up. Kind of what is on my 1500.

That's a whole different deal. Is the sensor on your pickup also a camera ? I had a 2014 Camaro rental in FL last week with a camera and alarm that warns the driver, not a pedestrian.

No camera in my 2012 truck, just a backup warning sensor. In looking at the 2014 trucks, they have a camera; but I don't know if the have a warning sensor? I would like the sensor in addition to the camera in a 2014 truck. I know they have both a front and rear sensor in what is called a front and rear parking assist as part of the LT plus package, which also adds a universal home remote, which is kind of handy for about $800 MSRP. There looks to be very few trucks out there with the LT or LTZ plus package. Here is a video of the front and rear parking assist on the 14 truck.

There are license plate frames that have a small camera built in which you then connect to a monitor of your choice, like on the rearview mirror which has a small screen built right in.
