Finally got a drive in!

Today was absolutely gorgeous, and finally a good day for a cruise!  Tina and I drove to Fleet Farm in Lakeville this afternoon for some non-oxy, and a guy pulls up to the pump in an orange '70 Boss 302 Mustang that had 60K original miles.  It was a 4 speed car, and numbers matching.  We got to talking as he was filling it up, and he turned and knocked the pump handle out of the back of the car and dumped a gallon or so of gas on the ground.  Needless to say, he was a little embarrased.  I guess you have to be a little jumpy to drive a Mustang...  razz

We then drove to Northfield, grabbed some ice cream at Culvers, and walked around downtown for awhile just enjoying the nice weather.  Then a nice cruise home and the vert is all tucked away again.

Man it was nice to put some miles on during a nice day for a change.

Did anybody get out today and cruise?

I cruised around the Township in the tractor, mowing ditch's. I should mow the lawn too.

Forgot to say, I put 3 of mine in off-site storage Saturday, so they aren't moving for 6 months.

Looks like the weekend might provide an opportunity.  Car goes into storage mode when the first salt hits the road.

Taking it out today for the last time this year. Meeting up with some others in Hastings around 12:30 then heading south to Wabasha, over to WI, then north to Pepin for late lunch/early dinner.

Went for a drive yesterday along the lake, colors are still there.  Sun is shinning this morning.

Well... paid $3.59 a gallon for non-oxy nana, topped off the tank, and the Malibu is put away for the winter.  boring

Kind of anyway.  I still need to change the oil in it, clean off the bugs and brake dust from the last drive, and then that will be it until I tackle some winter projects.

Kind of a sad day, but this year wasn't good for driving anyway.
