Should be a good show similar to the one we just had. Weather looks great.

That's close for you guys. All make and model so Dashboard can bring out the Buick. It is a night show, under the lights. I'm skipping it. Probably go to the cabin to cut grass.  They added a third show this year at Merit in Maplewood, so I'll do that one.

Going to try to be there, TSI says that the car should be ready tomorrow  nana will have a new (complete rebuild) tranny.  "Thank you Stan"  I'm VERY happy so far with the service and contact that I have had with them.  When I dropped the car off on Monday they had several nice cars there for repair work.  The car from Car Craft that tore his transmission apart on the sewer cover was there again.  They did the original build of the tranny and had done adjustments on it just before Car Craft to only have him DESTROY it after it caught the edge of the man hole cover in the fair grounds.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_qhxgglcO0&feature=player_detailpage

I sell parts to a guy who had just helped put the engine/trans combo in the week before Car Craft. Sounds like the owner figured he could get away with a deep pan for the show until he could get a regular one. From what Scott said, there's also floor damage, firewall damage from the fuel lines when the engine tipped, etc.

Is that the TSI in BP?

Yes, it is the one in BP.  Yes, that's what they said and they showed us the car and the damage to the exterior, so its just not the tranny that needs work.  It was a perfect opportunity to show Scott what can happen and to learn from others mistakes.

Dave, glad it's working out for you, and hope to see you and the Chevelle Sat. night!  Let me know if you want to meet up at my house first, then I'm heading to Tom/Gearlube's place, then we'll head into Lakeville from there.

You will put on some good break in miles coming down to the southern metro!

I was in there yesterday with a car I had them do a transmission on as well. The car was in the shop and he showed me the carnage on it. A lot more damage then just the transmission, it even took out the custom console as well.

I'm not going to be able to make it this evening, maybe the next time.  Enjoy the evening for those of you that go.

The show was a little smaller than I expected but a nice show, very comfortable once the sun set. Several club folks there, all the cars really looked great under the lights. First time I’ve seen Gearlube’s car outside of the garage, looks great, sounds excellent , I still think you need to make the LED lights flash.

If only they had ice cream!

Kevin's car is amazing and deserved his award. If you have not seen it you should. It looks like this 1965 Buick came stock with the LS motor and Buick badging

I haven't seen it yet. I'm hoping he will bring it to the All GM car show at Merit Chev on Sept. 28.

I can ask the one that attends No St Paul every week if she would be interested in attending. It would need the approval of the dealership and club too...dunno

Definately check with the show's promoter. Some have deals made that there's only so many food vendors (to make it worth the food vendor's while in sales), or only certain things, or even non-compete things written into thier agreements. Some promoters also will charge for that space just like any other vendor's space, adn may need to coordinate electricity if necessary. They also may want a copy of the vendor's food seller's license on file or at least to verify it.
