Huh, I didn't even know they made those for our cars. I thought they were just for Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth owners who spent so much time walking around their cars working on the engines that they needed the whole front covered.

I use ultra fine scotchbrite on my fenders. After rubbing them around for a while the paint is brighter.

Looks like a nice way to protect all the new paint around your place. Go for it.

I ordered one, I'll let folks know what the quality and fitment is like; I don't think the 318 is included. OPG is very slow when it comes to shipping but it looks like it will be before the car is.

Steve I don’t think you ever worked on those old Mopars, I think you just drove them until they rusted away.

I like it, installed it on the Elky tonight for the first time. Goes on quickly, covers all painted surfaces completely yet leaves all mechanical components exposed.

It is made from a heavy, quality material that resembles the furniture padding you might rent from U Haul. Unlike traditional fender pads I can leave this on for extended periods of time when not in use or working on the car.

Ok enough; I’m not selling these things, just thought I’d share the concept. $140 to my door, cheaper than paint.

That's awesome Kevin. I know some guys thought I was anal about putting blankets around the fenders and windshield when pulling/installing engine/transmissions, but that looks very functional.

Problem is those pics are on the wrong project car for getting on the road this summer...

John, it goes to the dry cleaners, how often I don’t know. I would think if you’re doing something really messy you could toss an old style pad over it.
Stan, your right, by the time I broke the bib out of the box the Buick was in the air so I put it on the Elky for the photo op. You can just see the Buick in one of the pix’s.
