Nice car, but I think the real value is somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 his asking price.

Body looks great, but there's a lot of things going against it... Smallblock, automatic, black dash/console/carpet with blue interior, and the front wheels don't even match the rear ones. (Rear have dished spokes... I think they're Billet Specialties "Vintec" and "Vintec Dished")

And after all that, it's a wagon... I love wagons, but they just don't have the resale value of a coupe.

Yup. He is at around double what its really worth. For that kind of money, you can get a nice restored 70 SS 396 numbers matching car for that. Which gets you much better resale value if you decided to sell it.

 My thoughts exactly. It's a cool clone but he's gonna own it for a very long time at that price.

Being a dealer with financing, he may get someone on payments at around 20k.

Here is a wagon that I think went for the right price.  If it had been within a day trip down and back, I would have gone to look at it.  I think Derek  would have like it.

 

Power disc brake, PS, Auto, and AC for those hot MN summers.

 Now that is a nice looking vehicle at a reasonable price for the cost of restoration. Of course pics don't show detail, but if it is as nice as he claimed, it should be a decent deal.

I like that '66! Price isn't too bad if the restoration quality is as nice as it looks.

I don't care much for the 68+ wagon roofline, so I have a strong preference for the 64-67s when it comes to the wagons... just personal preference I guess.

That's what I'd ask for mine if I were to sell it. But I bet mine is a little quicker than his. LOL!! The performance goodies justify the higher asking price I think.
