Who has spring fever?

I know I do!  hyper

With the 'spring ahead' time change next weekend, and the spring equinox on the 20th coming, I know I've got the 'fever'.  And I'm not talking '... I've got the fever for more cowbell!' (SNL reference for those fans laughing).

I haven't seen any robins yet, but hopefully later this week if we hit 40.  Visions of cruising with the Malibu top down on a nice sunny day are dancing in my head...

Anyone else have the 'fever'?

This will sound strange for a car guy, but I’m looking forward to putting the snow blower away firing up the lawn mower and the smell of fresh cut grass.

I've spent a ton of time staring at my car this past month. I'm keeping secrets, but it's gong to look a little different this year. Not a ton, but different.

Yeh, I've got the fever, and the only prescription is more Chevelle!

Here's some cowbell for ya. If you wanna hear more cowbell, just come to a MSU Maverick's home hockey game.

After curing my cabin fervor with some cow bell, I went out to the detached garage, opened the door to left in the sunlight and got started on my 64 EFI conversion.

Starter reinstalled - check

Passenger side spark plugs back in - check

Passenger side spark plug wires on - check

Wide band O2 sensor installed - check

Dropped fuel tank for return line in fuel neck - check

Need to install in the return fuel fitting, put tank back, mount fuel pump and filters and connect the fuel lines to the front. Wire it up, etc...one bite at a time.

I guess I torqued off the weather gods again with this post.  This next snow strom looks like a good ole' early spring wet and heavy snow event.  They are saying up to 12" for where I live!  hyper

Don’t beat yourself up Stan it’s not your fault, truth is we actually need the moisture. Even if it does turn in to a big winter blow it won’t last long now, daylight is getting longer and the sun warmer, spring is just over the horizon.

There have been a group of Robins around here most of the winter. They were picking in our yard a couple weeks ago but move around.

Here’s the first Canadian goose to return looking for open water and waiting on his mate, saw him for the first time this morning not sure if he set his clock ahead this morning. He won’t leave now he’s staking out his territory and will be making lots of noise until November.

Spent a few hours over at my Mom's house on Sat... doing some little "handyman" jobs that she (begrudgingly) admitted she couldn't handle. (Simple stuff, but something that a 74 yo. shouldn't have to do with a son 15 mins away!)

Anyway... "Blackie" resides in 1/2 of her garage over the winter months. Believe it or not, I didn't even walk over there! Didn't lift the cover... nothing! He'll have to wait!... resisted the urge.

(Yeah, we usually refer to our mechanical doodads in the feminine tense, but since it is an EL Camino... it's a he.)

According to my Spanish Language Major daughter (oh yeah, kids... studying abroad via private college - another black hole money pit), the language is kinda funny... and causes her grief with the masculine and feminine tenses, and the totally different inflections with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party references.

Generally things that are nice or pleasurable are referred to in the feminine (duh), la cocina (the kitchen), la casa (the house), etc. Things that are hard or tough (no pun) are referred in the masculine ("el camino" literally translates into "the road").

So, "La Camino" would only probably apply if the car was pink. laughing

Lots of rain here yesterday.  It would have been great for getting all the sand and salt off the roads but now it sounds like freezing rain today and tomorrow so they'll be dumping if back on.
