Looking for clarification on the color of the upper shaded 4" strip at the top of the windshield.  Specificaly for 64-67 Chevelles,  do you know or have seen original windshields with a bronze upper strip?  I think the strip should be bronze and not the blue gray strip that 

Auto City Gl*** in Isanti sells.  Thanks

I have seen bronze and gold tint used on military aircraft but it’s used for other reasons such as RF suppression and UV exposure at altitudes above the atmosphere but it’s very expensive because gold is used in the tinting process.

 If there is a code on the glass, I can tell if it is original to your buick by looking at the code.  Both LOF and PPG supplied glass to gm; but I think LOF was the only supplier of windshield glass in 65-67.  There was clear glass, glass with a greenish tint, and a shading at the top 6 or so inches.

Jim, I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. Are you asking the color of the windshield tint on the top six or so inches across the top?

The windshield tint in Jenna's wagon was blue but with a very slight bronze-ish tint to it.

Fixed the profanity filter. It doesn't care if the 3 letters are stand alone or part of a word.

 I've heard that the blue shading on replacement glass accquired a bronze-ish tint to it over the years.  Do you think the windshield was original?

The bronze tint information came to me from Jeff Helms of NC, the guy is all the 65-67 chevelles.
