Anyone else thinking of going tomorrow to Hastings?

There aren't many left, and it will probably be my last chance with other things coming up on the weekends... cry.gif

Oh yeah! I am thinking early, maybe park on the street instead of the lot of their aren't too many going. I hear the bridge may be closed as they might being moving the new arches.

Never been to this event. I suppose I should go one of these times. Especially now that I have a vehicle that falls within the accepted age range.

Set it up Stan. Where are we meeting?

What time would we have to get there to get a good spot on the street?

On a typical summer Sat. night, 3 p.m. is the latest you want to be there for on street parking.  We usually park in the lot on the east end by the railroad tracks since you can still get spots if you are there by 3:30 p.m.

Show doesn't 'officially' start until 5 p.m., but most of the downtown is full of cars well before then.

Now that school has started, it might be lower attendance.

1:30-2 is a good bet you'll get street parking. I don't know if school will have much effect. The cool weather may...

Good news, Minnesota DOT has postponed the bridge arch float and placement until next week (weather permitting) so hi-way 61 will be open.

I also want to get there early, at least by three; that way the sun will still be out when I get my ice cream.

Running out of days to drive with the top down.

Should we say meet at 3:00?? If street is open geat, if not the big lot. We should be able to communicate by cell if someone finds a group of spots open. Looks like maybe 5-6 cars?

If anyone wants to stop by my place any time after 2 p.m. and hang out for a bit, then we can leave my place at 2:45 p.m. to get to Hastings by 3 p.m.

Let me know if you are interested.  I'll be going to/from Mankato from now until 1ish, so give me a call or text on my cell if you need my address (it's also on the members list):  651-274-5765

Tina won't be going since she is picking up her niece flying in this afternoon, so it's just me.

Sounds good Stan. I'll text you later. NOT while I'm driving. :)

What a great day for a car show! Meet some club members I had not meet before, got to check out the soon to be floating arches and proved I could eat the most ice cream.

It was a fun time, with only a few shows left for the year mother nature was giving us a preview of what’s to come with some stiff breezes out of the north
