Not a good way to start the day for a car show.  Got woken up at 4AM to lightning and thunder.  Watching the radar and not smiling.bangheadbanghead

Same here in Cambridge. At least I can let Shannan sleep in a little longer until the weather passes.

No kidding, I got out of the shower, and heard thunder, I didn't think there was rain in the forecast today?

Looks like the worst is north where you guys are. It's noisy here by Stillwater but, so far, just a few sprinkles. I got the elbow and "you should take the dog out before it starts raining".....rolleyes

Forecast is for the rain to move out by 9 am. That won't be much different than yesterday's passing shower.

Guess I'll make a pot of coffee and browse street rods for sale...thumbsup

We're downtown St. Paul. It's 6:40am and it's pouring. Radar shows rain extending west past Alexandria. Forecast was for a 10% chance of spotty showers. LOL!!

Raining in Shakopee still at 8 AM. Just cleaned the car up last night so it doesn't need to be washed again.

We did QA1 yesterday, A few NCC people were there. It was cool. A little tough to get to with the road construction. There was a good turn out. I had to head home during the cruise. I had a bad intake gasket so the poor people behind me were getting a dose of misquito control when I left off the gas. Tore it down and fixed it yesterday got the car cleaned again and now the rain.

I guess I thought the cruise was today.

Sorry to hear you had an issue and couldn't continue. The weather may clear up later today but if you're like me, you've already moved on to other things.

Yep I'm going to start rebuilding the shovelhead today.

Issues are just part of a rebuild. I did get 100 miles on the car.

Found out my car "ski's" pretty well on Hwy 36 this morning.thumbsup

Ran into a squall-line at about 60mph and just kinda "drifted" across 2-1/2 lanes before enough speed scrubbed off and the tires bit again.hyper

It ended up being a pretty decent day though. A little hot and muggy but thats the summer we are having so far. Still a good time.

I got involved in other projects and it was 5 pm before I could've gotten there. I figured that was a little late to shop for a car. I may drop in tomorrow, IF it doesn't rain until ten again...rolleyes

C'mon Tim... the vert's underside got a really nice wash job this morning when I drove through all the rain and semi-flooded streets of St. Paul! laughing

I still feel bad about the detour to QA1 in the construction.  It was not what I planned on happening!  Guess I should have printed off the map in the email from them instead of relying on GPS... clonk

Then the issues continued when we followed the car group into St. Paul per the QA1 directions, and the leader turned the wrong way.  We wasted half an hour getting to the fair grounds because of that.  doh

Not your fault on the road construction and what better way to take a maiden voyage

Got the repairs done Friday night and planned on going early Saturday morning to CC but by the time the rain stopped and the roads dried it was near 11 here.

Sounds like it was a good day after all for you guys.
