He told his painter to start the flames at the front and sweep them back. Apparently the painter didn't like that so this is what he got. The painter also moved the front turn signals inboard from where the bumper brackets were and closed off the bracket opening. There are a number of things I would change to suite my liking but the BB/700r4/9" and 18 INCH tires are very appealing.

Yep, the first one is up near Alex and I've been tempted to go see it. The tilt frontend is interesting but I would need to see the quality of work that went into it. The whole car looks a little haphazard and the interior does nothing for me.

The second one at Gateway looks nice but I have seen too many of these cars with the gas tank filler in the trunk and don't like that arrangement. Not only will the whole car get stinky while filling but if it overflows, it would smell for weeks and be a potential fire hazard.

The last one would really spark my interest if it was a different color. Red is probably my least liked color. Aside from that, the car still retains some of the original simplicity while still being modified and would be fun to continue the transformation to my liking.

Thanks for thinking of me and looking around to see what's out there....thumbsup

I had an interesting conversation with him. He doesn't want to sell the '37. He wants to work it into a trade for a "done" car. His still has a 235 6 with the 3 speed trans. He wants a street rod car. He also has  2 '38 project cars that we would trade. I left him my name and number in case he finds a car he wants that a trade wouldn't work.

The guy with the Blue gasser car is back. Lots of tire kickers with no cash. He's down to 27.5k and would transport it to TN to cut down my expense. I told him to reduce the cost by his expense and I'll come see it in person before I agree to buy it.

Well, the wife likes it and says I can buy it if I sell my '52........ain't gonna happen.

I have too many trucks now. I may call the guy in Omaha in a week and see if he is ready to sell outright. We are going there the third weekend in Sept.

Well, I still don't had a street rod but the biggest change of my life is coming next week.

I will be done trucking.

I can't "retire" or draw benefits but I've had enough of steering and gearing a rig after 42 years.

I'm pretty sure the 2 I have were outside his "area" and he hasn't owned them previously. I should be safe though, as they both have 4 headlights and he prefers 2....stirpot

Yea I dont know whats with some of us.dunno 4 headlights guys always seem to have life get in the way or something maybe. At least we have John D and Tim H that bust thier behinds to get thiers back on the road and drive the heck out of them and make them look very very nice. So there is that I suppose.
