Well my dad just about knocked me over with a short sentence last week, "I built this for you son, and I am giving it to you". He has been working for the last year to restore a 1969 Chevrolet C20 Truck, and last week he told me it was mine? I had no idea that was what he was planning, and has asked me advice several times throughout the process. The truck looks better than they did new, I am still in shock. Lisa and I ran up to fargo today and hauled it home.
I'm bettin' the Red was deliberate to match the Chevelle ??
I have a '69 K10 that needs restoration. Wish I had known you were taking an empty trailer. You could've brought mine up to him so he has something to do now that "yours" is done...
The '69-70 grille is my favorite on the '69-72 body style.
I had a really hard time keeping it a secret from Lisa until we got there this morning. When she saw it, and my dad told her it was ours she really got choked up, because her grandfather had a truck just like it when she was younger. It definitely will always have special meaning to me.
That's great Loren! I've always liked those trucks. The fact that your Dad built it for you makes it even that much cooler! Which one are you bringing to Anoka or are you bringing both?
I will probably only be bringing the Chevelle tonight. The truck needs to be cleaned up (got dusty on the trip) and Lisa wants to go to the Car Show in Buffalo this morning. We will probably head straight to Anoka after the Buffalo Show.
