THANK YOU to everyone who was there and helped! I would list everyone but I don't want to forget anyone.

To the guys who helped put up and take down the snow fence-UNBELIEVEABLE how much help that was.

THANK YOU to all the guys who helped flag cars into spots!

The registration people and door prize crew deserve a big thanks for keeping things organized and well-run. I didn't hear about any hiccups.

And to everyone else who lent a hand in one way or another-from grabbing garbages to being a gopher to just being in our tent to show our club's presence: THANK YOU!

A HUGE thanks needs to go to Mike Smith and Larry from Corvette Specialties. They were instrumental in coordinating things and thier experience in hosting shows.

We ahve ben invited back again next year to do it all again. When the time comes around for planning, we'll discuss changes, but not now.

Totals and pictures to follow. My friend Andy will be contacting me when he has gone though the hundreds of pictures he took and we will get his link posted so you can browse them.

Bryan, a HUGE shoutout to you for pushing us to do this!!!  It was a great success!!!  Great teamwork, good company, good weather, and we represented proudly.

Too bad you didn't get to use Mr. Microphone because you did a nice job with the awards.

Those of us that have helped run car shows in the past appreciate all the work that goes into this, and hopefully if this was a first time for others they now appreciate the effort when they go to other shows.

Ditto on your comments about everyone's participation.

THANKS BRYAN!!!  Kudos to you!  winner.gif

Finally, thanks to Larry, Mike and MSMA folks that helped out too!  clap.gif

I think we topped 130 entries, over 140 including non-competing cars. We also signed up 3 new members and saw a couple that signed up at Car Craft.

I saw the pics that our roaming photog Andy took, he shot well over 600 pics from what I hear, and there's 300 he's put into an album. We'll be coordinating with JohnD in the next day or so to get them available to everyone. I was also contacted by another photographer who was on-site also taking quality pictures. Here's a shot I took of Andy getting it done. I wish I had taken more pictures myself since I really like to do that, but I knew he would cover it well for me, and he did.

Oh yeah, someone left thier goddie bag. If it's yours, please claim it........ :)

I have been involved with all this several times with the Camaro Club and from what I saw of this event, it was VERY well planned, organized and run. We had plenty of help when it was needed most for the bag stuffing, lot clearing and set-up and the quick tear down and pack up. I didn't see or hear of any problems and for a first show, that is phenomenal not to mention the large turn out of participants. If this continues to ba an annual event, I think we can count on a lot of returns. Just don't plan it the same day as MCC next year...cool

Congrats to Bryan, Larry and Mike for having it so well thought out ahead of time.

CONGRATS on a successful show.  I wish I was able to help out on Saturday and participate on Sunday.   I was at my father-in-laws car club show Saturday evening and had to work on Sunday.  By the way,  this is Rob Larson.  A new member that joined at Car Craft summernationals whom was buying the 72 SS from the original owner.

Great job Bryan, Larry and Mike! Thanks to all the other members of both clubs that were involved and participated. I am proud to be associated with such a great group of people as we have in the Chevelle club. Amazing results for a first show! I stood at the gate as participants were leaving and many of them had positive comments like "nice show" or "good show". I'm sure they would return and better yet give positive word of mouth for next year. Oh and I'd also like to give mother nature a big thank you for the nice weather!

At the next meeting, we'll go over all the details and things like that. I talked to several participants and all were pleased, and quite surprised at the turnout and quality of vehicles.

Anyone have a picture of the Camaro with F.Y.C.C on the windshield ? The Camaro Club may require him to cover that with duct tape if he shows up at the August 27th car show. Many agree it is inappropriate for a family event.

I have one. I'll email it to you. He had it on both the front and back glass.

Thanks, I only saw it on the front. I will print out the pic you sent for our gate person to watch for it.

For those on the north side, I was informed that this pic will be published in the Anoka Cty ABC newspaper coming out this friday. I snapped the pic quickly. I'll see what comes out and post when it does.

Here's a sca of what they published. It's in the ABC newspapers Coon Rapids Herald (and other north suburb papers I would guess) Arts & Entertainment section on the back page.

I bought 5 copies just in case. 1 for me, 1 for the club's historical file, and a couple extra if anyone wanted one.
