THE BEST car detailing stuff I've tried

Everyone knows that no matter how carefully you wax the car, you WILL get a stripe or bump of wax onto the black textured trim, or the window rubber... and it seems that NOTHING will get this off of, or dissolve it. Then on top of the wax crud, the black plastic trim gets "gray" or oxidized and doesn't look black anymore.

The pic is of the door handle on my '95 Caprice. This is 10+ years of neglect, and a fresh application (by me) of buffing compound.

Enter "Wizard Products - Black Renew". This is no joke or exaggeration - 2 applications of pea-sized blobs on a micro-fiber towel, and about 2 minutes rubbing time each application resulted in:

It only gets better after each application. It literally dissolves the old crud and wax, lifting off into the towel, then rejuvenates the plastic.

Looks like I will need to pick up a bottle at car craft.  I have lots of black trim on my truck, and it's starting to get the gray look after 8 years of age.

I've always used Mothers back to black with somewhat a success, but I do love Wizard products! Might have to give it a try when I run out. Buy thier Mist and Shine by the gallon, it works many times better than anything else I have tried in detail spray! Cathy calls it bubblegumming the car as it smells like double bubble.thumbsup

John, you have a way of making a believer out of people. I like Dan said have used back to black for a long time. The only issue is that the "black" look only last a couple of weeks and then starts to fade to grey. I am curious how long the application lasts. Without reapplying, give us an update in about 30 days if you would.

I see the "before" pic but no "after".....did you post a pic of it clean too ??

I think the pic is both before and after. The left side is "before" and the right side of the handle is the "after"
