Rain Out... What to do??

I've got about 35 little naggy projects around here, and I'm stuck as to which one(s) to attack first. Most of them involve being outside

Probably will:

Clean garage workbench (there is a bench under there, I know it, I've seen it before)

Clean basement workshop (will need a roll-off)

Talk to the General - I'm sure she'll put me to work on something

(Dashboard - I'm interested in hiring your woodcraft skills, if you're interested in a small project. I need a new cupola built for my garage roof. I don't do wood well.)

I'll be putting a hitch in the Impala for the upcoming bathroom hack-apart and remodel. Looks like a 45 minute job so it should take me about 2 hours.

Then go to Menards and buy all the little stuff like faucets, drains, colors, etc. Big stuff will be done on Thurs when I'm off.

I hear ya on "what to do first". My list is long enough that I get overwhelmed and don't want to do anything.

I just got back from dumping a pick up load of junk at the clean up day site.....

I dropped a 60 ft cottonwood yesterday after work and didn't get it all cleaned up before the rain, so will finish that during the "lull" the weather people are talking about today. The trees are on the lot line and belong to the neighbor so I have to drop them in his yard so they don't fall on my pine tree row. He's all for this and is helping when he's around but I don't want to leave a bunch of brush on his grass too long. Still have 4 more to drop, so no shortage of work here, plus there's always the Chevelle wiring to get confused with while it's raining.

I put the wood from the tree alongside my shop drive with a "FREE" sign on it. Some yo-yo backed his loud pickup up my driveway and was THROWING the wood in the back at 11:00 PM.....  I'm happy it's gone already but really, can't we do this during the day ....

Clean garage it is the worst it has ever been I am surprized we could even get around in there. Have to get it ready for other toys to go back in.

It's a beautiful sunny day here today... not sure how that happened. We were planning to "go somewhere" for our anniversary (5 years yesterday) but decided to stay home since it was going to be rainy all weekend. Left the kids at Mom's overnight and slept in until 10:30 this morning. Haven't done that in a while. :)

I'm about to go work on the Chevelle. I spent the last month getting all those nagging projects cleared off the list so now it's back to being top priority at least until I can make room in the garage to bring the wagon home.

Yeah !!! The sun came out here about 1:30. Dried the grass enough to finally mow the hay field. I got the rest of the neighbors tree sliced, diced, and the brush loaded on the trailer to take to the compost site.

While it was raining, I assembled the left vent window with the new lower support bar I got and new Metro seals. I was rather dreading it because I had read it was a difficult job. I would do that all day long for the right money. I had NO problems getting it together and the window to fit and work properly.....

The weather looked like it would clean up real nice this afternoon. Thought, tonight might be a good night to head over to Anoka. Started hearing storm sirens in the middle of dinner and was about to get ready to head over. I didnt see anything that bad out my kitchen window so we turned on the TV. Break in weather coverage. Good thing I didnt decide to eat at the show. Not long after dinner. All hell broke loose here.

Today's rainy day events:

-Opened up the garage for the wife and the city garage sale (Took in a whopping $7 because it was rainy and nobody was out shopping...)

-QA check and first in-car engine fire up for Gearlube on his '70 Camaro.  All went well, adjusted the timing a little, and that engine really sounds good Steve!

-Took the remains of the garage sale stuff (most of it) to Goodwill and waited in line for almost an hour.  I guess everyone had the same idea...

-Took a nap (Recovered from my weekly meeting with Jack Daniels last night)

-Went and saw the movie Bridesmaids with the wife and kids.  Good flick, a little slow in spots, but pretty good

-Had Chipotle for dinner, vacumed the house and now it's time to watch some more Mecum auction

We haven't seen any rain out of this latest round, but it looks BAD to the West and North. Lots of lightning and thunder coming from over there.
