Car guys are the greatest!

I found out a few weeks ago I was losing the storage for my old truck.  There having a big graduation party where it was stored at my cousins and when that is done the 47 was not invited back.  Club member Chris P.  was gracious enough to let me put it in his building this summer until I can figure out a long term solution.  A big thanks to Chris!

My buddy that helped me move it before had lent his car trailer to another freind and it was apart getting the wheel bearings worked on so he couldn't assist.  Called up another freind, Ken, that I hadn't talked to in awhile and he said sure I can help even though he's really busy.  We go to get the truck last night and with no motor to weigh down the front it won't fit in the enclosed trailer as the roof is about 2" too high!  .  Kenny offers to retreive his open trailer from a freind he had lent that too and do it another night next week.  Meanwhile my cousin texted his neighbor to see if we could use his trailer.  His neighbor Dennis said no problem I'll be home in 10 minutes.  He brought his trailer over and we used that with no issues.  He's maybe met me once before but had no problem letting us take his trailer and wouldn't take any money for his trouble.  BTW - He has a couple of Vega drag cars he uses the trailer for.  My buddy Ken won't let me pay him any more than taking him and his wife out for dinner last night which was probably cost me less than the gas he burned!   Without the help and generosity of some very good guys I wouldn't have been able to pull it off as easily as it went.  Thanks to all involved.!!! nana

I second that. I'll probably always be on the uphill run to repay Chris for what he's helped me with over the past couple decades. I have been helped by several members on here as well, plus other guys you have met at his BBQ.

Storage is always an issue with multiple cars.

Good to hear you got so much assistance with it.

With the purchase of the '66 last fall, I'm one car over capacity too. I'm looking at another 4 post lift to put one on. It was also suggested I just get a car hauling trailer. I was checking them out this morning and for around 6k, I can get a 48', 5 car trailer and load them all on, back it in the building and shut the door..... If I ever got them all restored, I could hook up the Pete and take them ALL to a car show....
