I thought there was a post on this, but didn't find one.

I plan on going with the Chevelle since it looks dry and 51 degrees in the forecast!

If anyone wants to meet up and convoy from the south side, let me know.

I thought the forecast was for showers, but DRY is good. I'll be there shuffling thru the swap area looking for a fan and spacer for the Chevelle...

I had posted the flyer in my "Swap Meet Season" thread.

Anyone else going to be there tomorrow?

Sounds like Mitch, Andy, me, possibly Dashboard, and I may even drag Gearlube along with me.

Maybe we'll run into Brad, Jon (Dashboard and I met him there last year for the first time I think... or was it the year before?), and maybe Rick?

Looks like the weather is still good (dry but a little cool and I don't care as long as I'm around the swap meet and old cars!).

Dashboard and I will be in the 1971-1990 Chevrolet Stock group parking area.

I'm moving the Chevelle to the 'front' garage today so that I don't make too much noise and upset the neighbors leaving at 7 a.m. like I did last year (Got a text from them something like "Really... 7 a.m. on a Sunday?"...

Hope to see some NCC members there!

I'll look for ya around noon. Are you dragging Tony with and his Marina '66 Chevelle to park next to your Impala ?

Getting my chevelle  updated to 7.50 by don graff in two weeks and will have to get NHRA guy out to inspect it , Missing the power, Hope to get to the track in june. Hopefully I can get my hair on fire the first run.

Yep, glad I put a thermostat in instead of the restrictor plates so that I have heat in the Chevelle!

Grabbed an extra layer and threw in the stocking cap... it IS May 1st.  Right?

The things we car guys do for the passion of the hobby!

Hope to see some of you folks there.

Sorry I didn't see this in time to tell you not to waste the gas but I was already there and friggin' FROZE by 9:00am. I thought it was cold at the Blacksmith 2 weeks ago.....this was worse and it flurried a couple times just to remind us it was friggin' freezing out.

We pulled in as it started to snow, it was very cold and windy, the temp gauge on my rear view mirror displayed ICE. It was 30 degrees. but the company was good. Stan should be along soon to post some pix's.

Here's proof that we were there...

It was good seeing some of the NCC folks; Steve, Mitch, Frank and his daughter Amy (new member!) and grand daughters.  Saw Brad W. and Gearlube hung out with us too.

I was surprised by how many entrants were there, but a lot were leaving by 11 a.m. since the sun didn't come out and the wind was blowing harder.

About half the amount of swappers were there as last year when it was better weather.

Now I'm by the fire place with a blanket trying to get warmed back up.  Not only was it a tough winter, now Spring is following suit.

Didn't see anyone. Maybe because a lot of people were bundled up with stocking hats pull on over their head. Had to buy something, so I got a good timing cover for 68- BB and also a oil pan. Think the oil pan is from a 70 camaro, not sure, so maybe it will fit chevelle, camaro, etc. Looks to be pretty serviceable ; but had rusted and pitted on the bottom front, been clean, repainted, then repainted again and a few dents. The venders were all packing up and leaving by 12:00.

Saw what I thought was a pretty nice 65 chevelle wagon for sale. Not the one that needed total restoration. Kind of a light blue with flames on the side. Anyone familar with the car? Think the owner is from Brooklyn Center??

If I had known you were making the journey, I would've warmed up in my truck for a second time and hung around. As it is, I left around 11:00. My feet are just now starting to feel normal again.

It's always hard to see people in a swap because I'm always looking at the parts. Steve M had to run into me to get my atterntion...

Jim I've seen that wagon quite a few times at shows and it is really nice if it's the same car. Were the flames just an outline like a pinstripe?

Not sure about the flames, thought they were part of the paint; but didn't look that close.  Bench seat had been replaced with a bucket seat set up and nice looking home made console with a auto on the floor. He had also covered the rear area with a nice looking cover.  Looked to be a 327 that had been recently rebuilt.  Originaly a 6 cylinder car.Didn't ask what trans he had.  Just need power disc brakes, PS and a high ratio rear and would be a nice car to drive anywhere.

Colder than heck and the swap rates were $25/ spot. Not too many swappers. Could have been better organized, did get in until ~7:30 and got there at ~6. For the amount of swappers we should of gotten in quicker, only things I sold were the presold items people were coming to pick up.

I've suggested to the organisers for years that they let the swappers in starting at 6. Dumb that the vendors can't get in earlier than the spectators....

The weather yesterday was just about the same as the Roadsters swap meet that is in October every year it seems.

Were there a lot of show cars there?

There were actually quite a few cars there.  I was surprised how many.  I think everyone was just desperate to get out for the first show even though it was in the 30's!

Most probably left around Noon or so though like us...
