Anyone have suggestions on who/where would be to get a good insurance appraisal on my car?  It is under insured, and would like to get it adjusted before I start driving it?

I would think look at the market and figure what you have in to the car and what it would take to replace it and call some companies for an agreed upon value. Everyone has their opinion on who is the best insurance company. I use Hea****, they asked for an interior and exterior photo and agreed with my valuation. Clean and simple.

Like Jon said, AGREED VALUE is the important element. I know the subject has been beat to death on every car forum you read, but there are enough real life stories to back up the fact that if is isn't AGREED, the Insurance Co has the right to decide how much your vehicle was worth when damaged.

With that said, I have all my insurance thru a broker and she has my classics insured with Continental Western Group. The rates are very competitive and it IS agreed value. I have my values much lower than you will and they only want pics to back up the amount to. I'm sure if I ever had a "done" car like yours and wanted it covered for replacemeont cost, they may want an actual appraisal and would most likely have someone they recommend to do that.
